The horseback excursion at the Stagnone Lagoon in Marsala is suitable for everyone, including beginners and those riding a horse for the first time.
This experience is designed to let you enjoy a close connection with the unique natural environment of the Stagnone, a place famous for offering what has been described as the world's fourth most beautiful sunset.
You will explore the heart of the Stagnone Nature Reserve, the only lagoon area in Sicily, where the main highlights are the Marsala Salt Pans, the four islands of the Stagnone Lagoon, and its charming windmills.
Before the ride begins, your guide will lead an introductory briefing where you will learn how to approach and care for the horse. This is a great opportunity to build confidence with the animal and discover the basic riding techniques needed to enjoy the experience safely.
The route starts through the natural surroundings of the riding centre before continuing towards the Stagnone Lagoon.
Once there, participants will enjoy a scenic horseback ride, including a memorable moment riding into the shallow waters of the lagoon while waiting for sunset, as the sun slowly disappears behind the silhouette of the Egadi Islands.
