What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
Can I reach the excursion location by public transport?
Public transportation is limited, and it is not recommended to book unless you have your own vehicle or take a private transfer.
Why can only experts participate?
This activity takes place on steep, rocky trails with exposed points that require excellent horse management skills. Participants must be able to independently manage their horse, tackling the various difficulties of the trail with relative ease.

Pricing & Included stuffs
The full day horse riding is an activity suitable for expert due by the long stay in the saddle (about 7 hours). During this excursion we will reach the wonderful lake Scanzano along a path surrounded by wild and unspoiled nature, made of panoramic views and landscapes of great beauty. The cost includes lunch box. The activity requires a good fit condition, due to the important difference in level we face and the many hours we will ride at the three gaits.

Minimum booking required 2 people, maximum 6 people. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Minimum age 14 years old. Maximum weight 100 kg.
🕒 How long does it last?
This experience lasts 6/7-hours and start in the morning at 9:00am.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend sportswear with sports shoes (no flip-flops, slippers), long pants, sunscreen, sunglasses. On winter, clothing appropriate to the season with windproof jacket.
🐴 Riding style and Gait
Ride on Pioneer saddle. The gait is on walk, trot or gallop depending on the guide's assessment.

This activity includes a lunch box with sandwich with typical products, fruit and a drink (gluten free and vegan lunch box available).
📋 Required skills
Only expert can take part to this horse ride. Minimum age 14 years old. Minor can partecipate only with parents.

Free parking is available on site.
Activity features
In the WWF oasis of Piana degli Albanesi, full day excursion through the paths of the reserve until reaching the lake. Lunch included.

This horseback excursion has a "High" level of sustainability thanks to the low emissions resulting from this activity. In fact, even if horses emit methane, about 18 kg per year, these emissions are irrelevant. The high level of sustainability is also given by the absence of pollutants released on the ground and the total lack of noise pollution, furthermore, taking place on marked paths, it does not cause damage to either flora or fauna.

Insolito e bellissimo
Non è solito per dei turisti ritrovarsi sopra ad un cavallo nell'entroterra siculo, ma per fortuna con Julia e Giuseppe vi faranno vivere questa esperienza in totale armonia, persone fantastiche, affidabili e gentili, i loro cavalli sono a prova di principiante ma adatti anche per i più esperti, consigliatissimo per chi non ama la solita vacanza!!
