What happens in case of bad weather?
This kayak excursion is strongly influenced by weather and wind, therefore cancellations are possible even a few minutes before the start of the excursion, in which case it's possible to move the excursion to the next session, if the conditions improve, or even, in the following days. In case of cancellation by our organization you can ask refund of the deposit.
Is it mandatory to be able to swim?
Yes, you have to be able to swim.

What do you know about the Aeolian Islands?
The archipelago of the Aeolian is an island arc composed of 7 emerged islands and 8 submarine mountains and is about 200 km long. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, the islands has volcanic origin, that is, islands emerged following the deposit of volcanic material. The islands of Vulcano and Stromboli still have active craters monitoring by the INGV (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology). Lipari is the largest island and Alicudi the most remote, with a census population of only 100 inhabitants.

Pricing & Included stuffs
Welcome to the Aeolian Islands, an archipelago made up of 7 volcanic islands that emerged following the deposit of volcanic material. The Aeolian Islands have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 and this will be the setting in which you will live this kayak experience, but let's move on to the description of the tours:
Morning, 4-hours
We set off from the east with the calm morning sea, to discover the picturesque caves that open up along the coast of the island of Vulcano. We will meet and start with initial briefing to acquire some concepts on kayaking and the use of the paddle and to check the equipment, fins and a mask for snorkeling must not be missing. We put the kayaks in the water to begin this journey, immediately encountering the Punte Nere, tentacled tongues of solidified lava that extend into the sea, forming suggestive inlets, dominated by a unique flora that covers the north-eastern side of the volcanic cone. Continuing along the coast, we reach the inlet of Ròia, where high vertical walls, rich in shades and engraved like stone lace, hide a series of small caves accessible only by kayak or snorkeling. Each cave is a unique microcosm made up of incredible marine flora, rock formations with iridescent colors, where the play of light follows one another in the deepest cavities. Don't miss the chance to discover every little detail of these natural formations, diving into their waters and exploring the tunnels and underwater bridges. The sea will lead us to a small cave, which seems the most modest, but which will instead reserve the most beautiful of surprises: a warm pool for a regenerating bath in mineral water! From here we paddle towards Punta Lùccia, where we will cross a tunnel of lava rock, entering right into its dark depths to then glimpse a very intense light, which will lead us to the exit on the opposite side of the peninsula. After crossing the tunnel of Puntà Ouadrara we go back to conclude this incredible adventure.
Sunset tour, 2-hours
The itinerary of the sunset tour may vary depending on sea conditions, which can be particularly changeable at dusk. We meet at 5:00 pm to know each other, share some basic information on how to use the kayak and paddle, and check the equipment. After putting the kayaks in the water, we begin our journey along the coast of the island of Vulcano, reaching as far as the shores of the island of Lipari. We paddle immersed in a coastal landscape of extraordinary beauty, between lava tongues, sea caves and cliffs sculpted by time, all wrapped in the wonderful warm and enveloping light of the sunset. During the tour, there are some stops for snorkeling, to discover hidden ravines and caves accessible only by sea, in a silent and intimate atmosphere. An experience that will allow you to enjoy unique seascapes, in a natural setting that makes the Aeolian Islands - and the island of Vulcano in particular - a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO.

🕒 How long does it last?
This experience lasts 4-hours or 2-hours and starts in the morning or at the sunset. You can choose duration and departure time during booking selecting the favorite ones. Due to the unstable weather and wind in this area, timing changes and cancellations are possible even a few minutes before the start of the activity.

Wear a swimsuit and bring with you: beach towel, sunscreen, flip-flops or sea rock shoes.

You have to be able to swim. Minimum age 5 years old.

Paid parking available off-site. We do not recommend using car, the starting point of this excursion is 300 meters far from the port.

It was a very pleasent experience. The booking was very fast and easy, the guide was kind and nice and the tour also interesting. We had fun floating into waves and saw plenty of beautiful jelly fish.
