What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
Can I reach the excursion location by public transport?
Public transportation is limited, and it is not recommended to book unless you have your own vehicle or take a private transfer.
Can kids join?
This excursion is not suitable for children under 14 years old. For the little ones, we recommend a Horse Riding course for children, available on the Courses page

The 2-hours horseback riding excursion in the WWF oasis of Piana degli Albanesi in the Palermo area is perfect for riders of all levels, from beginners to experts. The ride go through the Sicilian hinterland, offers a splendid panoramic view of the Piana degli Albanesi lake surrounded by imposing mountains such as Mount Pizzuta. This excursion allows you to explore picturesque landscapes, among green hills and rock formations, offering a unique experience in contact with the natural beauty of the Serre della Pizzuta reserve. Piana degli Albanesi is known for its history and culture, being an important center of the Arbëreshë community, descendants of the Albanians. This experince is not only an opportunity to enjoy nature, but also to get closer to the rich cultural heritage of this area.

Minimum booking required 2 people, maximum 5 people. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Maximum weight 100 kg.
🕒 How long does it last?
This experience lasts 2-hours and start in the morning, afternoon and based on the season at the sunset too . You can choose departure time during booking selecting the favorite one.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend sportswear with sports shoes (no flip-flops, slippers), sunscreen, sunglasses. On winter, clothing appropriate to the season with windproof jacket.

Ride on Pioneer saddle. The gait is on walk.

This horseback excursion has a "High" level of sustainability thanks to the low emissions resulting from this activity. In fact, even if horses emit methane, about 18 kg per year, these emissions are irrelevant. The high level of sustainability is also given by the absence of pollutants released on the ground and the total lack of noise pollution, furthermore, taking place on marked paths, it does not cause damage to either flora or fauna.

Esperienza perfetta per staccare dallo stress quotidiano. I ragazzi sono stati cordialissimi e hanno fatto in modo di farci sentire subito a nostro agio. Panorama da incanto. E per quanto riguarda il mio cavallo “Nebbia” veramente spettacolare. È stata la mia prima esperienza, ma devo dire che sia Nebbia sia l’addestratrice Julia mi hanno trasmesso sicurezza per tutta la durata del percorso. Consigliato per chi ha un tenore di vita molto stressante e và sempre di corsa, questo è il modo giusto per rallentare i ritmi.

Esperienza incantevole
Esperienza fantastica a cavallo immersi nella natura dell’’entroterra siciliano. L’accompagnatrice Judith è molto simpatica preparata e sa metterti a tuo agio e far entrare in sintonia con i cavalli. Da provare!

Schöner Ausritt in den Sonnenuntergang
Wir haben uns bei diesem Erlebnis (Horse Trekking "Into Sicily") von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Judith hat uns nett begrüßt und nach einem kurzen Smalltalk mit den zwei Pferden (Barbie und Puma) vertraut gemacht.
Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass wir bei diesem Erlebnis nur als Paar, ohne andere Teilnehmer waren.
Anschließend ging es direkt aufs Pferd und wir durften einige Übungen am Platz machen um sicherer im Sattel zu werden und zu lernen, auf das Pferd zu vertrauen.
Nach zirka 30 Übungsminuten begann dann der richtige Ausritt durch die schöne, sizilianische Hügellandschaft.
Der Ausritt selbst war sehr schön, wir konnten die Natur in Ruhe genießen und die Veranstalterin erklärte uns zwischendurch immer wieder etwas über die nahe Landschaft.
Positiv aufgefallen ist uns außerdem, dass Judith einen sehr liebevollen und profesionellen Umgang mit den Tieren pflegte. Auch die Stallanlage machte auf uns einen sehr ordentlichen und gepfelgten Eindruck.
Wir können dieses Erlebnis auf jedenfall jedem wärmstens weiterempfehlen :)
