What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
Do I need license to drive a quad?
To drive a quad bike it's enough the standard licence used in all part of the world.
What is the minimum age to participate?
5 years old is the minimum age to go on board a quad bike. Minor can't drive a quad bike.
Can I reach the excursion location by public transport?
If you don't have a car but want to take part with Alcantara quad tour, here is a detailed guide on How to Get to the Alcantara Gorges from any part of Sicily. We recommend getting off at "Fondaco Motta", next stop to the Alcantara Gorges, we are 100 meters far from the bus stop. We remind you that reaching the starting point on time is your responsibility and this guide is for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for any delays by the transport company.

Pricing & Included stuffs
The Etna and Alcantara Quad Tour is one of the most appreciated and amazing off-road adventures in Sicily, and will allow you to see Mount Etna and Alcantara gorges in a unique and exciting roundtrip. After a short briefing, during which the guide will explain how to drive a quad, we will start going towards the Alcantara gorges. Will stop on a terrace from which you can admire the spectacular volcanic canyon. The tour go on along paths surrounded by vineyards until to the village of Castiglione di Sicilia, it's a pretty medieval town in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy. From here, we will ascend from 450 meters a.s.l up to 2000 meters a.s.l. driving thorugh forests, lava fields and many different landscapes. Before reaching one of the biggest lava flows of mount Etna, we will stop for the exploration of a volcanic cave. Then passing by a massive lava flow we will enjoy of some beautiful panoramic sea views. Before to get back, we will see how the power of lava destroy everything along its flowing visiting the rests of a big hotel. We will take the back trail along the forest to meet one of the oldest tree of Etna.

Cancellation within 4 days: full refund. Within 24 hours: refund via voucher. In the previous 24 hours: no refund.

No minimum number required. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women and children under 5 years old.
🕒 How long does it last?
This experience lasts 5-hours and start in the morning and from March to November at the afternoon. You can choose departure time during booking selecting the favorite one.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend sportswear with sports shoes (no flip-flops, slippers), sunscreen, sunglasses, bandana for dust. In winter, clothing appropriate to the season with a windproof jacket.

An intense off-road trail will take you from the Alcantara river environments, along dirt paths and woods, up to almost 2k meters among the volcanic deserts of mount Etna.

Adventurous but difficult
Not for the faint of hearted. Having said that I have to admit that it's a great experience. The scenery is beautiful with a lot of contrast climbing the volcano going through stream, lush forest and lava flow. The quads are not the easiest to ride if you don't have experience but after you get the hang of it it's quite enjoyable. The passenger though are not so comfortable. The guides are always looking after the group and are very helpful. Overall it's something you won't easily forget.
