What happens in case of bad weather?
Unstable weather conditions and the moments that precede or follow a weather event often generate wonderful light conditions, but we put our safety for first, this means it always possible get last minute cancellation or not completing the tour. In this case we will be fully available to find alternative solutions in order to satisfy everyone's needs.
Can I use my smartphone to participate in this experience?
Of course! You can take part in this photo tour with both: smartphone or camera. Thanks to the power of today's smartphones cam, it's possible use them to take high-quality photos, but here too it is necessary to know some techniques to make the most of your device. The same goes for a camera, which requires more knowledge and greater familiarity with photographic techniques to get good shots.
Who is the photographer who will guide you in this experience?
This workshop will lead by the professional landscape photographer Giancarlo Tinè. Born in Ragusa, passionate with mount Etna and its incredible landscapes, he travels and organizes photographic trips abroad. His shots have gone around the world: famous is the "Light pillar" shot published by NASA which immortalizes a pillar of red light during a paroxysm of Etna. Other shots have been published in various photography magazines and national exhibitions. Giancarlo will guide you in this unique experience among the wonderful volcanic landscapes of Etna, in search of your personal photographic interpretation of one of the most active volcano on the planet.

If you love photography or want to improve your skills, this experience will allow you to make the most of your smartphone or camera. You will learn landscape photography techniques and tricks to get high-quality shots and videos, all that during a sunset excursion on the highest active volcano in Europe, surrounded by lava deserts, spectacular craters and high-altitude forests.
During this excursion will walk on path going through lava fields, will cross ancient forests, will dominate volcanic landscapes in search of the most intense light. A unique photographic experience with an adventurous mood, to discover the Great Mountain of Fire and breathtaking views of Sicily.
This photo tour takes place on the western side of Etna among woods and extint craters. Will start with 1-hour trek through a pine forest talking of the light during sunset, to go on with some topics such as: composition, light management, how to expose correctly, the use of filters and the main shooting techniques. The sunset shooting session is scheduled on the top of an extinct crater, from where it will be possible to admire the sun setting on the Sicilian land, with mount Etna stood behind us in all its majesty. The experience ends in the late evening when with torches will walk back to the starting point.

We recommend sportswear with sport o trekking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, windbreaker, 10/15 liter backpack. In winter, mountain clothing appropriate to the season.

Un escursione da rifare!
È stata un esperienza bellissima e del tutto nuova, per chi volesse conoscere meglio l'Etna e dintorni ma anche solo per una semplice escursione all'aperto la consiglio vivamente, paesaggi stupendi caratterizzati appunto dalla zona che la rende particolare.. tra l'altro devo dire che è stato semplice organizzarsi e personale sempre disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza, per non parlare della guida la quale ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo!

Assolutamente imperdibile!
Auguri a chiunque abbia un paio di giorni da passare in zona Etna di fare la nostra stessa escursione. Quasi 5 ore di camminata su un percorso semplice e ogni singolo minuto è valso il prezzo pagato. Paesaggi quasi lunari a 1500 mt di altitudine, fauna selvatica e flora indigena e, all’ora del tramonto, una meraviglia di colori nel cielo. Il tutto accompagnati da una guida, Giovanni, che ci ha fatto sentire come se fossimo a casa nostra. In una parol: Indimenticabile!
