What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
Can I reach the excursion location by public transport?
Public transportation is limited, and it is not recommended to book unless you have your own vehicle or take a private transfer.
Can kids join?
This excursion is not suitable for kids under 14 years old. For the little ones, we recommend a Horse Riding course for children, available on the Courses page.

Pricing & Included stuffs
Etna Panoramic Ride is a 1-hour horseback riding at the feet of mount Etna with equestrian instructor (10 minutes of preparation - 50 minutes of excursion). This is an excursion designed for beginners on their first experience. The ride focuses on the rudiments of horse riding, to give participants useful information to be able to manage an horse and discover the world of horse riding with a dynamic experience on field. This is not an activity carried out inside the riding school, but a real excursion through the Etna landscapes, along paths that climb up ancient lava fields dominated by the native vegetation. During excursion, you will enjoy a pleasant view of the sea and the Ionian coast, riding through little woods and ancient lava flow, with mount Etna and its 4 summit craters stood in the north side. You will be accompanied by instructors with many years of experience who will support you along the trail.

Minimum booking required 2 people, maximum 6 people. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Minimum age 14 years old. Maximum weight 100 kg.
🕒 How long does it last?
This excursion lasts 1-hour and takes place in the morning and afternoon. You can choose departure time during booking selecting the favorite one.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend sportswear with sports shoes (no flip-flops, slippers), sunscreen, sunglasses. On winter, clothing appropriate to the season with windproof jacket.
🐴 Riding style and Gait
Only english saddles available. The gait is on walk.

For this activity you can bring a bottle of water (not included).

1-hour horseback ride for beginners on the slopes of Etna, a path along woods with panoramic view of the sea. A pleasant approach to horse riding, followed by expert instructors.

This horseback riding excursion has a "High" sustainability rating due to the low emissions. While horses do emit methane, approximately 18 kg per year, these emissions are negligible. The high level of sustainability is further supported by the absence of pollutants released into the soil and the complete lack of noise pollution.
