What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
Can I reach the excursion location by public transport?
Public transportation is limited, and it is not recommended to book unless you have your own vehicle or take a private transfer.
Can babies participate?
Yes, babies from 0 to 2 years old can participate riding togheter with a parent, while children from 2 years old and up ride independently on their own donkey and pay the standard rate. Babies from 0 to 2 years old are free.
What to see nearby?
We are in Linguaglossa on the north-east side of the volcano, an area rich in vineyards and medieval villages, including the small town of Castiglione di Sicilia included in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy, just 15 minutes from the starting point of this excursion. Etna Donkey is a beautiful excursion with donkeys for families with kids but also suitable for adults. Riding our friendly travel companions, we will cross some paths and woods of the Etna Park along the slopes of the volcano with nice panoramic views on mount Etna. It's possible choose 1 hour or 2 hours excursion, just enough to enjoy the Etna landscapes with your family and your friends.

This experience lasts 1-hour or 2-hours and start in the morning, afternoon and based on the season at the sunset too. You can choose durantion and departure time during booking selecting the favorite ones.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend sportswear with sports shoes (no flip-flops, slippers), sunscreen, sunglasses. In winter, clothing appropriate to the season with a windproof jacket

For this activity you can bring a bottle of water (not included). 2-hours tour includes a tasting of sicilian "Pane Condito", it's bread with typical products and a glass of wine.

Explore the trueSicilian country life with the family
My family and I spent an hour in the company of Salvatore and his donkeys. The animals were so docile and well trained. Salvatore is a true Sicilian and enjoyed showing us what life is like on his beautiful farm. He has true family values and is full of fun. He treated us to the produce of his farm and provided us with a relaxing picnic of wine/juice and preserved aubergine with olive oil and bread. I would highly recommend this tour. I would imagine it would also be a nice outing for a group of friends who are interested in the Sicilian way of life.
