What happens in case of bad weather?
Outdoor activities are always affected by weather conditions. Last-minute cancellations are possible. Cancellations by our organization always entitle you to a full refund of the deposit. To know the policy about bad weather visit the "Assistance" page, "Reservations" section.
What types of ebikes are provided?
The eMTB Front bikes provided are mid-to-high level, featuring an aluminum frame, front suspension, a 120mm fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and a 630W battery for extended range. The eMTB Full models differ by offering dual suspension and more advanced specifications compared to the Front, such as a 160mm fork. We have various sizes available, which will be assigned during the pre-departure briefing.
Can I reach the location of this excursion by public transport?
It is possible to reach the designated meeting point for this excursion by train or bus from Catania or other locations. You can check the transport services of Ferrovia Circumetnea.

Pricing & Included stuffs
We start cycling along a dirt path between woods and panoramic views of Etna villages, in a continuous alternation of woods and lava flows, until we reach one of the most impressive lava fields of Etna: Il Passo dei Dammusi. We are at an altitude of 1700 meters walking on pahoehoe lavas called also lavas rope, originated during a 10-year long eruption. A short trek will allow us to reach the Grotta dei Lamponi, a splendid example of a volcanic cave, with its remelting stalacties and its windows open in the sky. After exploring the cave, the descent begins, fun and fast. At the middle of the path a detour will take us along a single track on the lava flow of 1981. Here we will stop for a short trek along some craters originated during this eruption. The last part of the trail still give us others unique volcanic landscapes passing by green oases called Dagale.

🥾 Recommended clothing
We recommend cycling clothing with padded shorts, alternatively sportswear with sports shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, cycling gloves. In winter clothing appropriate to the season with windproof jacket.

For this activity you must be familiar with using a mountain bike on dirt trails. Minimum age 14 years old (150 cm).

This eBike excursion has a "High" sustainability rating as no emission during the activity. While microfragments of rubber may be released due to normal tire wear, their minimal impact is not considered significant. The quietness of electric motors eliminates noise pollution, and since the trail follows the normal track, the surrounding flora and fauna remain undisturbed.

An exciting experience
Our guide Salvo made our ebike tour the highlight of our holiday in sicily. I highly recommend this tour and will definitely will do it again if I have the chance to. We visited craters and a cave. The information given by Salvo helped us appreciate the might and beauty of mother nature.
