What happens in case of bad weather?

What types of ebikes are provided?
The ebikes supplied are high-end mountain bikes, Enduro full suspension type, Bosch smart system engine; 750w battery; 160mm suspension, 4-piston disc brakes with 203/220mm rotor; enduro tires; engine and telescopic saddle controls on the handlebars; flat or spd pedals; ergonomic saddle; 29'' frame, sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL. Manufacturers: Specialized, Cannondale, Mondraker (See the gallery).
Can children participate?
Short trail: Can join children from 8 years old with a minimum height of 120 cm, who are used cycling on dirt trail.
Full trail: Is not suitable for children.
What happens in case of an eruption?
Etna's eruptions are frequent and often unpredictable. To ensure the safety of our visitors, we are in constant contact with autority that's monitoring volcano, such as the Civil Protection and the INGV of Catania (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology), which provide us with updates on volcanic activity. In the event of an eruption that involves the closure of the summit areas of Etna, we will promptly inform partecipants about. In case of cancellation every partecipant can choose whether to receive a refund of the deposit or move the booking to a new date.

Pricing & Included stuffs
Etna, the majestic Sicilian stratovolcano, boasts four active summit craters and over 300 extinct lateral craters. There are two main access routes to reach the summit craters: the southern one, starting from the Rifugio Sapienza, and the northern one, which begins from Piano Provenzana base camp. This tour develops along the southern slope, starting from the famous Rifugio Sapienza, offering two distinct itineraries:
Short trail (up to 2700 meters): duration 2 hours and 30 minutes around, suitable for everyone.
Full trail (up to 3340 meters): a challenging excursion lasting 6-7 hours that reach the summit of Etna
Both tours are leaded by a qualified guide as a volcanological and mountain bike guide, you will ride full suspension Enduro ebikes.
Short trail: up to 2700 meters (2h30min)
The tour begins at Rifugio Sapienza, where there will be a short introductory briefing, during which eBikes will be assigned based on the weight and height of the participants, followed by a detailed explanation of the trail and its characteristics.
First Phase: 2001 Lava Field
The first part of the trail runs through the 2001 lava field, a fairly simple section even if uphill. Here the engine of your e-bikes will give you a great push to face this part of the trail without difficulty, which will give you suggestive panoramic views of the south-eastern coast. Once you reach the altitude of 2500 meters, a stop is planned during which, in addition to the ritual photos, the guide will explain some aspects of the geology and evolution of the volcano.
Second Phase: Towards the Belvedere
Continuing the climb, will arrive at the lake crater, where scenarios of great charm open up. There are still few turns to reach an altitude of 2700 meters in front of the majestic South-East crater. From here a short single track will take us to a breathtaking panoramic point on an immense valley, an ancient volcanic caldera collapsed on itself that originated the Valle del Bove.
Return: From the belvedere starts the descent to the Rifugio Sapienza.
Full trail: up to 3340 Meters (6-7 hours)
For those who choose the complete ascent, the trail go on from the Valle del Bove viewpoint towards the Barbagallo craters.
Third Phase: Lunar Landscape
During this section, will cycling along a lunar landscape of black volcanic rock. Once reaching the Barbagallo craters, will leave the eBikes to continue on feet. Here begin the high-altitude trek, with a more technical soil, composed of pyroclastic debris and volcanic sand.
Phase Four: Towards the Summit
Climbing up step by step, will reach the edge of the main crater of Etna. Here, participants will have the opportunity to admire a unique natural spectacle: a chasm of thousands of meters that connects to the center of the Earth. Fumaroles, sulfurous stratifications of intense yellow color, and the acrid smell of sulfur create an unforgettable multisensory experience. The duration of the stop at the top will be determined by the guide based on weather and volcanic conditions.
Descent
After the break, the descent begins on feet until reaching the eBikes, and then cyucling down to the starting point.

Full trail: For this activity you must be familiar with using a mountain bike on dirt trails, be in excellent physical condition and be used to walking on rough trails with steep slopes. Minimum age 16 years old. Minimum height 150 cm.

This eBike excursion has a "High" sustainability rating as no emission during the activity. While microfragments of rubber may be released due to normal tire wear, their minimal impact is not considered significant. The quietness of electric motors eliminates noise pollution, and since the trail follows the normal track, the surrounding flora and fauna remain undisturbed.
